In March 2019, disaster struck Valley, Nebraska and the surrounding area. A cold, snowy, winter gave way to rapid thawing and ice jams on the Platte and Elkhorn Rivers. The rising waters flooded Valley and neighboring towns. Homes and businesses were either destroyed or catastrophically damaged, highways became impassable, and residents were evacuated for several days. In response to this disaster, Alloy Solutions partnered with the Valley Days Foundation to create a golf scramble to benefit flood relief efforts in Valley and the surrounding communities. We called it "Fairways for Flood Relief."

After a huge success in 2019, the golf tournament is BACK to make an ongoing impact for the recovering communities! The way people came together with amazing generosity and support for one another that makes this event a special tradition we hope to continue for many years. The waters have receded, however many are still rebuilding and we can still help! We hope the community spirit of service will continue this year and for the next 100 years!

The Valley Days Foundation is a 501c(3) non-profit entity dedicated to coordinating and funding community activities. When historic flooding rocked eastern Nebraska in 2019, the Valley Days Foundation created the Flood Relief Fund to support local families in Valley and Waterloo through funding, supplies, and temporary housing as they seek to recover after the waters receded.
